I keep hearing on many facebook hunting groups and on THF that Axis Deer are everywhere in Hill Country and running around. However, no one mentions who allows low fence hunts or where they are? Anyone know of a reasonable place to hunt Axis Deer ? I dont wanna pay $600 or so for Axis. Let me know if there is any ranch or any land where someone will let me hunt Axis Deer. I want meat (Doe). I wont care for a buck.
*** I barter for Meat Hunts. You dont Pay a $! Website and Facebook Promo for Meat Hunts. Ask me how !***

They are everywhere in the hill country. But most places are also either leased or used for personal use or guided hunts.
So, even though there are a LOT of places with low fenced axis, you're "usually" going to have to lease it, or pay the going price for does. The going price at auction is between 400 and 900 dollars (depending on who shows up and how deep their pockets are).
That said, every once in a small while you can find someone that needs to thin their herd and doesn't want to call a trapper. Rare, but when you do you might find some of those $250 axis does.
Good luck.

We used to find doe hunts around the $300-$350 range on places in the hill country.
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

We will be doing some doe hunts in the summer for $350 per doe and $150/day guide fee which guide fee can be split with up to 3 hunters and will include 1 nights lodging for each day you pay for a guide.

Other than finding someone just wanting to get rid of some, this is about as good a deal as you're gonna get.
