For those who have handled some of these new chassis systems and a good Manners or McMillan stock, what would you recommend for a Remmy short action 6mm Creedmor (24" heavy varmint contour)? Rifle will be primarily used for long range target shooting and prairie dog shooting.

I've got a Manners T4 on my Tikka and really like it but want the adjustable check rest. I've noticed a lot of chassis systems and like the adjustability so am open to these as well but have no idea where to start.

Thanks for the input and sorry if this has been addressed before.

T6a, that's what I would've done, just can't cozy up to a chassis. Also depends on how fast you want it, Manners is about 8 months out as of early February. Chassis is generally in stock. If you want the best of both worlds look HERE

Just throwing this out there..

I have a T4A coming in that is setup with the mini chassis and speced for a Defiant Deviant action and a Sendero profile barrel in carbon with camo paint I will not be using.

Got tired of waiting and had the builder use an instock McMillan A5A

Coker, I sent you a PM.

Wade, that J. Allen Enterprises stock looks awesome but way more than I am going to spend on this rifle.

The KRG Whiskey chassis looks good and has a positive review on TacticalGunReview.com.

Decisions...decisions!

KRG Whiskey 3 was what I looked at. Alamo Precision has one hanging on their wall

I have tried some chassis stocks, just personally prefer a regular stock.
Manners or McMillan
Try to get behind as many as you can to see what YOU like.
Also, ordering an instock will get you shooting a LOT faster unless you just have to have custom

MDT Chassis

The lightest chassis I've ever felt. If it had the krg grip I would like it more and probably be really sold. I'm still thinking about one

I purchased a McRees chassis for pdog hunts and fun, it's a little heavy but you don't run around with it. I like it and it really works fine for it's intended use. Also if you had another barreled action it is just two screws to change calibers.

Let me know if you wanna look at a KRG Whiskey 3. I just got one but still waiting on my barreled action. I'd like to take a look at a KRG XRay but I've heard they dont balance well with heavy barrels because they are mostly plastic.
