Not sure if this is the right spot for this mods, but here it is...my parents home in Hondo, Texas was burglarized Tuesday morning about 4:00am. My parents were both home, but luckily no one was hurt. Thieves stole several guns. The guns I had left at their house, I have serial numbers for som. I don't think my dad bothered to write his down (I know, I know). These guns include:
1. USSG/Saiga ak, .223, SN#H09167054
2. Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22, SN#HCA1103, .22LR
3. Savage Model 99, SN#531498, .250-3000 with Leupold VariX2
4.Remington Model 81, SN#24773, 300 Savage
5. 2 Remington Mohawks 600 - 1 is .308, the other is .243 I believe (not sure)
6. Remington 788, .22-250, has scope but not sure of make
plus a couple of other guns which don't have a whole lot of value money wise or sentimentally.

Not sure if posting this helps, but it sure can't hurt. Thanks.

I'm sure y'all have, but definitely make a report with the local LEO. Many of these stolen weapons show up in pawn shops, but not necessarily in the area where they were taken. I was in my local pawn shop who serves as my FFL a month or so ago picking up a pistol I bought, and a local detective came in about a weapon they had that was stolen in San Angelo, 250 miles away. Chances are slim, but you never know.

And you might also watch Texas Gun Trader for awhile and just see if anything happens to pop up.

I have been spending a lot of time from Bandera to Hondo lately, I'll keep an eye out.

Check texas gun trader and craigslist daily.

Feel your pain! I had two of my guns stolen Sunday - a Savage Axis 308 with Nikon scope and a Howa 7mm08 with a Vortex scope.

I'm shopping the classifieds now!

Sorry to hear that....hopefully the police can retrieve most of them. You might hit up some local gun shows.

Dad also told me that he another gun taken (no serial number) was Remington Deerstalker in 44 magnum. Thanks for advice. A LEO report was given. I'm just hoping they slip up and make a mistake. We will be checking pawn shops and I'll keep an eye on texas guntrader and craigslist as well.

Both are ok, although they were both home and had to endure it. The fact they're ok is really the most important part. We can replace the guns over time.

Not being smart, but if I'm not mistaken, that .44 Deerstalker will be a Ruger, not a Remington. Hope you recover your guns.

That is bad and a bit scary given they were home. Glad they are ok.

Keep looking--many of these guys are dumb or too greedy and screw up. Catch em.

Lots of people out of work up here and therefore things seem to be getting shadier.

Good luck.

Pass the gravy.
