My manual says my rifle has a 1/7 twist so it should have no trouble stabilizing a hornady 75 grain bullet correct? I was going to change my upper to the 6.8 SPC but I think I am going to try something a little less drastic and less expensive first. What do ya'll think? Oh and just a note, trying to shoot a heavier grain for hogs...

1/7 ought to stabilize any .224 bullet you can get.

You'll be fine with a 1:7 twist

Yes but the 75gr Amax will not work if your shooting them from the magazine. The BTHP should be fine. Not sure which 75gr you're referring to so just fyi.

Just in case you missed it. wink

You might try a 77 SMK too. I couldn't (and notice others) have a hard time getting good accuracy with the 75 BTHP. If you're loading your own, try AR-Comp or IMR 4064.
