I want to drive thru pasture,,, with feeder going,,,,, then tomorrow trace my path ------- I assume Garmin makes something that will give me a map to follow, but I dont know what. Any ideas? I dont want to just use way points,,, I want a path to follow.

Any handheld GPS will do it.

Garmin Oregon

can play your route, leave waypoints, etc ....
and if you need to trace back, has a TracBack feature that will
lead you to route in reverse. Was able to find my nice pruner
that fell off my ATV 3 yrs ago.

Handheld GPS devices are nice to have

Most quality hand held GPS devices have a track feature which leaves an exact trail of where you traveled if you have it turned on. With a good signal it should be accurate to within 2 to 5 feet. This feature helped me locate my Browning rifle in the Sam Houston National forest when while carrying a pack, a climbing stand and my rifle through almost constant thick cover I lost my rifle. I had packed in about 2 1/2 miles when I apparently got the rifle caught in the brush and my sling broke. With the frequency of the items I was carrying dragging on the brush I didn't realize I lost my rifle until I reached my truck. Although it took me several hours of retracing my steps back and fourth via the track feature I eventually found my favorite rifle. Was a rather stressful experience and sure made me feel rather stupid at the time. Realizing I had the track feature gave me hope of finding this cherished possession. It works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Motion X GPS app...I use this one when in the field on my iPhone. It's fairly reliable. You can email yourself the trail you created and it will pop up in google earth. Good stuff.

I use the Garmin 64S, color screen, download the aerial view above your lease. After that you can turn on or off or even save different trails at will. Real neat setup. I used to always use my phone but new lease has no cell service in most spots.
