 looking for axis doe low fence

my brother and I have some interest in chasing low fence axis deer-no real interest in a trophy, just want the meat. any suggestions on where to go?

Why exactly low fence?
The fence does not dictate the animal. Some low fence axis I've seen are tamer than some high fenced. And that is extremely relative, as axis are spooky as all Heck everywhere, regardless of fence, size, pressure etc.

The fence does not dictate the animal. Some low fence axis I've seen are tamer than some high fenced. And that is extremely relative, as axis are spooky as all Heck everywhere, regardless of fence, size, pressure etc.
Funny you say that. HF axis can get really smart. I hunt a place that has about 20, they have never seen them other than on game camera. They told every hunter during whitetail season that they were allowed free axis, not a single one was shot. I have hunted them on several occasions and saw ones back side from about 200 yards running the other way. But axis come by my shop all of the time (LF), I shoot them out of my office window.

I've hunted axis all over. I can definitely tell you LF axis are easier to hunt if the property has regular visitors, not those once-a-year-we-see-an-axis places. My hardest hunts with lowest percentage kills have all been HF ranches.

my last high fence hunt was for red hind-we walked the place down for a couple hours never seeing one, but early evening time they came out in the open-shot one-later found out that was their daily feeding time/place. just didn't feel real good about that after the fact.
