I read a lot of great things about Les Baer 1911's. I don't ever see them stocked anywhere. I do understand supply and demand but would like to handle one before purchasing. Does anyone in north Texas ever have any in stock? I haven't even seen any at gun shows. Any suggestions?

Try online, Severn Custom, Gunbroker or ProLoad in that order.

John at ProLoad has a very large selection but will talk your ear off.

McBride's in Austin and Collector's Firearms in Houston usually have them, but they turn over very quickly.

I see them online but would like to handle a coupe of the ones that I'm interested in before making a purchase.

I remember two at Cabela's in the gun library several years ago. Point being, you might give them a call and check Allen and FTW and Buda. Several years back Cabelas would ship a gun to your closest location for inspection, but also when they opened the FTW location they would let you take you dog inside the store but now they don't allow that so policy on shipping may have changed. There have been several for sale here, or TGT, been couple of years back. Remember one gun owner was down in Desoto or Duncanville.

Last time I was in noonday gun trader they had a few. Porters in flint had a used one. I believe Wiley's in canton had some as well.
