I am wanting to get in on that 2 suppressor deal that Hog Rush out of Alabama is offering. They also added an NFA trust completed by their attorney for $50 if you are buying their suppressors.

So does it matter if an out of state attorney writes up your trust? It is my understanding that a trust for nfa items should be the same no matter what state it is originated in. Is that right?

It shouldn't. As long as they include the city, county, and state that you reside in on the trust. It will have to be notarized in your county before it is used.

Yes, there can be important differences in laws between states. This is not the issue for guesswork. There is a lawyer in Houston who does trusts specifically for NFA items. Also, the president has proposed a change to the NFA trust provisions recently.

You cannot afford to make a mistake and end up illegally in possession of a NFA item. Get competent legal advice.

I was told that an Executive Order decree in the latter part of this year would render all trusts meaningless and null and void. Lets hope not but so far we have seen more EOs than any other time in our life. We may joke around but our enemies are very serious about their final goals.

Its called 41p. It did not render trust null. Just altered how the atf would handle them. May want to do some research before spouting off

Settle down Sparky before you go spouting off. Maybe you should look at the giant post you did on 41P and you would find out I had looked at your post. I am familiar with the 41P and I'm talking about something completely different that apparenty you have not heard about, just as you have not heard about what criminals may be pardoned by our outgoing president. I don't know why I am giving you the courtesy of a reply, except maybe you do not know everything yet. ?? There is no telling what all EOs our president may write before leaving office and our newly elected president may not have any sympathy with gun owners.
cheers

My understanding so far from research is that the a majority of states have accepted the uniform trust code. Texas is not one of those states as far as I can tell. So I guess it is safer to get my trust done by an attorney in state. That sucks a bit since $50 for a trust would have been a good deal.

Anyone that has a trust recommend a competent attorney with fair pricing?
