Could that ... no, surely not. Right?!? Did this doe narrowly miss becoming lion lunch?



I was flipping through pics and ran across three pics of this slickhead. Maybe she was molting but I can't quite shake an image of something like this happening earlier in the day:

Could be, sort of fits the take down type markings. I think a mountain lion would have taken her out unless it was a young inexperienced one

More than likely brush scratches on a winter coat that is getting ready to shed.

If so she is mighty lucky but I think STX is prob right that or she was recently mounted and those are from the Bucks hooves

I'll bet next pic she will look different
