A kinda interesting article showing the different states that have adopted a state firearm. What do ya'll think would be the best firearm to be called "The Texas State Firearm"?

A few years ago Field and Stream named Texas' firearm as the Walker Colt. I thought it fairly appropriate.

Even though it's named after another state, my vote would go to the Kentucky Long Rifle. It was the most effective weapon used to defend the Alamo, probably second only to the cannon. Actually, the cannon might be pretty good too.

I have to go with the Walker Colt. Gus McCrae can't be wrong.

As long as it's not the Ruger LCP.

From a historical perspective it would have the be the Walker. The gun (and thus the Dragoons that came after it) wouldn't have existed if not for the Texas Rangers.
