do you carry with it on the gun, or just use a light in addition to the gun?

I have a Streamlight TLR-1 that mounts on the pistol for when I need it. It usually stays on the gun when in the house but about the only time I have it on the gun outside of the house is when I carry it at the lease walking to the stand in the morning.
