We found 15 coveys this morning. I only took a few pictures but Chris took more with his two handed camera. I should have them soon. The red setters started out strong. Here's Beckett on one of his several coveys. The dogs tracked this covey for about 50 yards. Finally Cracker broke away and came in from the other side. There was no doubt when she twisted into this bush. Wendy wanted to learn how to field dress the quail. I had to keep warning her about shooting doubles. Mavis and Jasper. What can I say? Jasper picked up most of the dead birds. We had a picnic lunch in the field. I posted more pictures on the OT forum on a thread called Convection Ovens.

This was after the hunt. Someone asked about the gun sacks on another thread. All you can see is the aluminum cases. I'm stuffed. The pies came out fine. We rolled up to our appointed spot in this. I picked some flowers for the table. You can see them just below the high seat. The food was great. I'm not much on wine but this one was great. It's a tough old world. I have to go back again tomorrow morning.

What outfit built out that crew cab? It was at Three Rivers. I'll get back to you with the name. It was a birthday present to my friend. He married up.

I like the pointer and retriever working together. You don't see that very often

That looks wonderful Bill.

Haven't had it in years but never spit any out. I am a sucker for happy endings and strapped cowboys.
