It has long been on my to do list to film the impact of a rifle shot on impact to various live game targets.

I've seen a good number of videos using dead animals to demonstrate bullet and gun performance and that is beneficial to a good number of hunters.

This thread seeks to cover filming of LEGAL hunts of live game from multiple angles that would allow for a reasonable assumption to be made regarding bullet/caliber performance. Note: Trap shooting is not in the plan - for various ethical hunting reasons however my goal is to record animals in their normal environment and activities as you would during a hunt.

Currently I am working on CornCam and ImpactCam however if you've seen videos of this done before or have your own videos please post them here for our collective benefit.

Here is an example of what I am looking to do with a rifle , the below is not my video:

Yep I carried a second cam on tripod so I could set it up
To get extra angle just don't get the time to do the set up like I want
Since I'm guiding most the time in this video there is a headshot caught
On camera shooter was off a bit on timing

There are a lot of neat HOW-TO CCTV guys are doing with long range shooting that can easily be transformed into night video use.

I was able to capture an attempt at a triple on coons under the deer feeder.

I was hoping for a bit better video quality from my cameras as I attempt to analyze bullet performance in live hunting scenarios, just seems like the resolution and refresh can't hack it.

I will need to test on a bigger target (HOG) to see if the ability to judge bullet penetration and performance is possible.

As a side note I opted for the standard definition cameras at 30 bucks each, there are high definition cameras for 90 bucks each that possibly would do the trick but I don't have the coin at the moment.
