Do they work well? Any issues with the squirrels chewing on them on anything?

Don't know yet, what I've read is to put them on a 5-6' t-post and place PVC around the t-post below the mounting to discourage coons and presumably squirrels from climbing the t-post.

Don't know yet, what I've read is to put them on a 5-6' t-post and place PVC around the t-post below the mounting to discourage coons and presumably squirrels from climbing the t-post. Ahhhhh.....ok! I was under the impression from your title that you already had 1 or more in use. Report back when you put it in use and let us know. Been debating getting a couple of these.

Don't think the PVC will help with coons as they nothing but time on their hands when it comes to free meals. Quick internet search found these of coon proof or less problem type feeders.    From I have heard about them is they are not 80# corn capicity, but more in the line of 50#. So Protein wise they won't hold a bag at 10% less. If squirrels can get to them, they will eventually chew a hole in them.

STX, we'll have to see on the coons, I've got no squirrels out my way that I've ever seen. These will purely be in season feeders for me and taken down in off season so I don't mind filling them up weekly in season. Will be interesting to see how they perform and whether the deer take to them. Plan to use one on the edge of my foodplot, hoping for some continuous activity at it..
