Welp.. been down and out since Thanksgiving with surgery on both feet. If you ever have to get your feet worked on, I HIGHLY recommend doing both at the same time because this would have been annoying as hell to be down for 6 months instead of 3.. lol.. BUT.. Moving around well...can't run my butt off, but I can at least fill feeders and work like I want to, for the most part.. so.. it's to the ranch and work! I have a 8x8 stand that I am going to finish out this weekend with paneling and some shelves. I picked up some 2x12x8's and plan to put shelves up high and at the windows. Then, time to swap out a water heater that went out, but luckily I keep spare water heaters Hoping to fix the current one and then use it as a spare, but they are only a couple hundred max so who cares. Then, new power supply. We added a 34ft antenna to the cabin last year and then a couple months ago a friend added a really nice live camera to the top of it but it is a power hog and needs a little more power to operate, so doing that. Oh.. and we are coming up on our 5yr Ranchiversary (lol) so prepping the place for a big shin-dig with the inlaws etc. Pitch and Erath... soon as we get past that, let's schedule some axis and hog hunting Okay.. just had to ramble a bit guys as I am just waking up.. now, on to more deer hunting stories Oh, for your viewing pleasure... R

Nice, really nice, and I understand your eagerness to get back to it. Glad your feeling so good, recuperation is a pain but stick to it.

That is great news Russ. I hope you are walking around without any pain. Great pics. That is a good looking bull elk. And axis buck. And Aoudad ram. Can't wait to visit you soon. Enjoy your ranchaversary celebration.

Nope.. had 2 of them crossing the ranch. They did not mess with a single rock on the place.

Have fun. I couldn't imagine being down for three months. Some good pictures there.

Glad to hear you have recovered and are back to almost normal. I will probably need a total knee replacement but am still putting it off. When I do it, I'll get it done in early summer so that recovery is during hot summer days when I don't want to be outside anyway!
No prayer in school....What's next, no thinking in church? It's not just about pie in the sky when you die. It's also about steak on your plate while you wait!
