Guys,

I have a CZ 9MM Rami and the rear sight is just a little off center which is causing me to shoot left. I bought a vice so I could adjust it. After placing it into the vice I tapped it with a hammer and punch and it didn't move so I tapped it a little harder and still no movement so I hit is pretty hard and thought that maybe, just maybe, it moved. I took it out to the range and no luck it still was shooting to the left. The only thing I can think of it that they loaded it down with loctite when they put it on. So does anyone know how I can get this loose so I can adjust the sight?

Thanks,

Mel

Hit it harder! They will move. They also make a sight device that moves sights with a vice and screws. If you need more adjustment, you can knock it out and get an adjustable sight.

You may want to put a witness mark on it before you move it, so you will know how much you have moved it and what that movement did to the point of impact.

Yep, if you're not going to use a sight tool I would do this.

Is there a set screw that needs to be loosened?

Heat it up.
Loc-Tite will melt, drift sight, let it cool.
Loc-Tite will set again locking it into place.

Some of the Japanese cars I've worked on we had to heat transmission bolts with a torch top be able to loosen them even using a 1/2 inch impact wrench.
