Absolutely great work on beautiful knives. Question if you don't mind, are most Damascus knives hard to sharpen? My son has one and it is a real challenge to put a edge on. Thanks!

If it's quality Damascus that has been properly heat treated and tempered it shouldn't be hard to put an edge on. My blades are in the 58-60 range on the Rockwell C scale. To me anything over 60 is to hard and is prone to edge chip or even fracture and will be hard to sharpen. Under 58 just isn't hard enough to hold a real good edge.
