Looking for a lease close to San Antonio. Prefer a place to stay but not necessary. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

My family has owned land my whole life. My grandfather is getting older and he started to liquidate his properties I use to hunt on because we can't afford to pay taxes on them. I assure anyone who would be interested in leasing that I know how to take care of a place and will treat it like my own.

Depends on the place. Whats your price and what do you have to offer.

I knew it would be a long shot to find a lease on here but thought it would be worth a shot. Thanks for your help "therancher" in making it as difficult as possible to find a place!

Do you make a habit of blaming others? I just participated in some dialogue. You are the one who detailed your liabilities.

I just participated in Dialogue as well. All I'm trying to do is find a lease. Its obvious your lease is not for me and when you questioned my price point as being low. I questioned yours as being too high. We can both have our opinions on this not a think wrong with that.

You went a step further and then questioned what type of person I am. I don't think that is participating in dialogue? If I'm wrong let me know?

Anyone can figure out that you and I are not going to be on the same page with a lease so please move on. I tried to by starting another thread but and decided to jump back in.

If you or anyone else can help I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

I would also be happy to meet you anytime and buy you a beer so you can see what kind of person I am. I didn't mean to get on here and ruffle feathers. If I did so I apologize.

I'm just trying to find a lease that both the owner and I would be happy with the arrangements.

thanks,

Big Buck welcome and don't let The Rancher get you down. He has his opinions and is willing to let all around him know what those are. He eventually will grow on you like rust, LOL..

Exactly. I don't let others get me down either. Big buck and I were on different pages. He couldn't see that 33/acre really wasn't much different that what he was willing to pay in total cost and what my hunters get for that is wayyyy better quality deer, quail, ducks, Sandhills, but average turkey.

And big buck you don't ever need to apologize to me. I wish you well. I know what you're going through, it's what drove me to buy land.

I'm all leased up but I'll look around.

I'm looking for a family to lease 850 acres in Mason county. We are located about two hours from San Antonio. Prime habitat and established hunting camp with electric, water and septic. Lots of terrain features and surrounded by ranch land. Lots of cover and browse. No worries about poachers from the road. Contact me if interested. I'll be home Tuesday from working out of town.

curious why taxes on what should be an ag exempt ranch would force him to sell?? AG exempt property has negligible tax

You can't fix stupid

Let me clarify. Estate taxes and inheritance tax. The inheritance tax would be what would have made it hard to hold on to the property.

Still looking for a lease if you could help.

Thanks,

Estate/inheritance taxes are the work of the devil. Damn shame your family are forced to sell.

Just found out my hunters are giving up my Big Lake ranch. Not to be confused with the zavala co ranch we discussed earlier. It won't meet your needs since it's too far from San Antone.
