It is a good thing. The "gloom and doom" by the anti-gun people is really funny.

I find it interesting that lately the anti-gun people have been so silent about open carry. Once again they claimed it would be the wild west and once again they were wrong. It will be the same with campus carry.

I have only had about a half dozen open carry customers come into my business and I have an agriculture type store. Texas still has a long way to go to becoming a more free state but these laws are a good start.

Anyway, here is another scared liberal professor departing the State of Texas: Bye Bye

Good riddance! My view is there needs to be some serious house cleaning in our Universities (especially the "Elite" ones).

The amount of people carrying in classrooms at any one time will be in the double digits....maybe. The fear mongering is ridiculous as CHL holders are some of the best behaved people on the planet. No CHL holder is going to kill his professor over a grade, that is just plain BS. Most non-CHL holders will commit gun crimes on campus in a year than CHL holders will.

I also see that there are professors at the U of H complaining that the campus carry law would "chill" free speech. However, I understand many of these folks are only in favor of "free" speech as long as they agree.

Spot on.

Yes sir. Classic Democrap and so called " moderates " thought process.

Tactical scoped long rifles with adequate ammo. Will be interesting to see how many people stay home in bed that morning.

Not sure how I feel about the whole thing. I'm really torn. I have guns I like being able to carry. Just don't know about these young kids carrying. ......kids at that age can make bad decisions, or can be careless. I can see both sides.

My kid goes to U.T. and I'm not freaking out about it. At the same time it's concerning.

UT is still saying no carrying in dorm rooms, and you can't have a round in the chamber. Going to be interesting to see the lawsuits that follow with their rules as they don't seem to come close to what the law says they can do.

Good. People who are licensed to carry commit less violent crimes, not more.

Totally fine it. Should be allowed to at 18. All this crap about 18 or 21 is stupid. You're considered an adult at 18 and held accountable for your actions. You can vote, join the military, and smoke, but you have to wait until 21 to carry or drink? Lets stop the pussification of America please.
