I hunted in Putnam which is not far. Two years, ended two years ago. I would have stayed but the only other person besides me on the 5 gun lease didn't want to and I didn't want to pick up the whole tab.

Do you know of any leases 1-2 hours of DFW?

The place I was on varied from mesquite flats, to slightly hilly and a little rocky to bigger wooded hills. 1000 acres. Seasonal creek. Two ponds maybe a couple acres each. Deer herd was sufficient for me. Took a nice deer each of two years. A few nice up-and-comers were around. Lots of hogs and coyotes. Saw bobcat tracks but not bobcats. Dove and some ducks.

Cisco is in the northwest corner of Eastland county. Not sure where Gunsite is. I hunt a small place outside of Cisco, as Mickey Moose said, adequate numbers of deer and hogs. Nothing great but some pretty decent.

It's true hard work never killed anybody, but I figure, why take the chance.

Gunsight is between Cisco and Breckenridge off of 183.

I hunt in south Eastland county, so not much help about Gunsight, but some good bucks every now and then.
