My hunting land is in Southeast Texas. The land is always wet in winter. It has pine, oak, and magnolia trees.
Question for your local experts, will pecan tree grown there?

Yes, there's plenty of them around in certain areas. But in some areas on a certain property they may not do well.

Have your soil tested, I believe the county will do that for you for free.

Find some native pecans from area your in..Go around and plant 2/3 per hole 2"-4"deep with stake to Identify, once they come up and remove all but one one they come up..I had better luck that way, than planting bought small trees..and way cheaper..and if years down road you want Fancy Pecans find a Grafter and have them Grafted to varity you want
