Looks like fun. Did you try my method of field dressing the quail r cut them up the back? I saw the thighs on the grill?

That on the grill is chicken wings. Some of the quail are in the Jalapeno poppers. These guys take good care of us, It was Chicken wings with sausage and boudin the first night, Ribeyes, baked potatoes and asparagus the second night, and Beef & Chicken Fajitas with Jalapeno poppers the third night. Breakfast all 3 mornings was delicious breakfast burrito's, burgers for lunch one day sandwiches the other. I went home with 3 times as much food as I came with.

Nice pictures. Are those Boykins in the back of the truck? If so, how do they hunt......closer than the other dogs or do they hunt with the other dogs?

I've never seen Bobs run like they were. I can think of several points where the dogs followed birds 100 yards or close to it maybe more. Then they still flush 40 - 50 yds out. Then had a few others that young dogs just flat busted into when they saw 40 birds running in front of them. Still lots of fun with some fun people. And yes those are Boykins. Great little dead bird finders. The dice game is called LCR look it up, very fun game. Some regular dice was played too but only by two guys.

The Boykin's were used just for clean up. We were very proud of the noses. Both are less that 2 years old and are coming along great. They love to hunt and with some proper training they could be great flushing dogs. The one on the back side "Kate" picked up 200 plus dove this year at 1 1/2 years old. Cool dogs.

I have never hunted with a Boykin. They are really, really good looking dogs. I figured that was what you were using them for but in my mind I'm thinking with those Brits out there, there won't be much to clean up unless the wind doesn't cooperate.
