Saw a buck in my neighborhood this weekend. He was missing one side of his rack. Didn't look like it was broke off. He was with 2 other bucks that had full racks. Could he shed a side already?

I have had one old buck drop already in past 2 weeks, he had foot-rot though and lost a lot of weight.

Still seeing bucks with full headgear here. Saw one during the late doe and spike season that had lost one side.
