Anybody else use this stuff? I think it turned out good for a amateur. Just need to finish grips and see how it holds up.

I've done quite a bit of duracoating. Somethings I have found that help me.

1. I use a graduated cylinder to properly pour/mix it.
2. I use an airbrush to apply several thin coats, allowing it to dry to the touch between coats.
3. I bake the finish on for 45 minutes at 170 degrees. Baking the finish really makes the duracoat lay down smooth, and hardens it to its full potential very quickly. In most situations, there is too much humidity in the air for duracoat to air dry hard to fullest potential. You could wait weeks or months before it really gets hard.

Only time I have seen problems with duracoat is when it is applied in too heavy or coats, applied to heavy, or applied in poor environmental conditions not conducive to spraying. That, and some folks don't do very good prep work.

Is that one of those Star Super B 9mm?

Yea, it was pretty beat up when I got it. I like the way it turned out.

Post pictures when you finish. I considered picking one up, but the surplus site sold out

I've done it. Not hard, and extremely durable.

The secret to a long life is to try not to shorten it.
