Of yall hunt with a "hunting club"? I am looking at a lease that is big acreage and is more of a hunting club style, everyone gets one stand, there are separate camps, lots of guns (don't know the exact number yet). I grew up hunting with a my family and two other families, we always did first dibs on who was hunting what stand each day.

Never have, but have buddies that do it. Some love it, some hate it. For me personally I don't think I would like it just because I like knowing everyone that I'm hunting with, that's the fun thing about being on a deer lease.

Big risk for both safety and enjoyment/stress sharing camp with a bunch of strangers.

If they're properly vetted by the lease manager, they're only strangers until you meet them. Might be a way to make some new friends/ hunting buddies. Depends on what you value most about hunting. I agree that hunting one stand could get a bit old, though, and if there were some in your camp you didn't see eye to eye with it would get tiring quickly.

I would agree with this. And add, that you have to imagine with that many people there could be low numbers, low quality or both with the deer. I would do your homework on the place and ask lots of questions before getting on a place like that. Like said above, some people like those type leases and some don't.

I think these are more common in Louisiana and Mississippi where there is big timber acreage owned by large companies

In east Texas it seems the leases are generally smaller tracks and even if there is a bit of a "club" aspect to it they are not as large of a group as those to the east in other states
