Does anyone have suggestions on how to find landowners in east Texas that might have property for lease? I'm specifically looking in the Mt. Pleasant, Daingerfield, Hughes Springs areas. Just lost my lease there due to property sale. I have tried the Chambers of Commerce and feed stores with no luck so far. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sit @ the gate, in your truck, drinking a few beers & the owner or someone that knows him will show up PDQ. Just kidding of course! Try the county tax office.

Thanks txhunter1010. That's something I had not thought of. I have been studying google earth and looking at places around my former lease but had not taken the next step of finding the landowner and writing them. How are you finding the specific places you want to target on cad?

well by chance the county im looking in has an extremely detailed map. On it it has each property outlined with a number. You click on that number and it will pull up the acreage and all the owner info. Very detailed....Other counties seem to be old school...where if you have a name or address you can find out but cant really see the land in question on the map. It might take some extra time if your cad map is old school...

I would try the county live stock sale. They all go there.

Once you pinpoint a property you're interested in, go to Google Earth and search for the address listed on the appraisal district website. At the very least you can get an aerial view.

Get "oynyx" map app for your phone. I use it regularly. The maps show property lines and owners names.

Good luck

Not fair. Almost like hunting over a baited field. Didn't someone on the forum almost go to jail for attempted bribery doing this very thing? roflmao

Where are you located. I live 10 miles north of Hughes Springs and hunt all over Cass county.

The Walker Farm on 250 north of 130. My place is on the east side of 250 just north of the firehouse.
