You don't understand the concept of saving it yourself?

LoL, the reason i thought it was funny is I have two guys send me money all year long to hide it from their wives what they really spend. Each to their own.

My hunts are $6750 all included ! Except tips!

Hey Don K do you understand the concept that 4-5 thousand dollars is a lot of money for some people? I guess that is why someone invented the lay away program. Maybe that's how the Credit Card came about? To buy things you want and pay them off over time. Tires for a truck are on average 800.00 dollars yet Discount Tire offers credit cards. I never understand why so many ranch owners on this site are smart &?$(&@es. It just gets old. A guy awhile back on here said he was not a great shot and was bombarded by ranch owners saying you will never hunt on my property. Seriously? How many ranch owners on this site have had hunters miss a shot? Of course it happens or there would not be the rule if you draw blood meaning just nick the animal, wound the animal but never find it you pay for that animal. I always try to be nice to people on this site and help them out when I can on good deals I find. People spend a lot of money to hunt on ranches and support you guys to earn a living. Try to be a little bit nicer once in awhile. Not everyone is an expert hunter, wealthy with an unlimited budget. Without the hunters you guys are not in business. With the way the bottom has dropped out of the oil market I would think you guys need all of the business you can get. I work in retail. Do you think if a guy came in to buy a new bedroom set for 5000 dollars and I told him we don't have a lay away program do you not understand the concept of saving 5000 dollars before you come into our store this guy is coming back? Would you if I told you that when you came into our store? I spend about 5000 a year hunting. Obviously I am not rich but I am sure sick of all the smart!$&s comments from landowners on this website. I look at this website every day at hunts. There have been posts I have made on this website Don K and you personally had smart$&!s comments then also. This time I decided to speak my mind. Remember paying hunters allow you to earn a living Sir! Be thankful for that.

I was actually trying to help the person. What if he sent a considerable amount of money to someone and then had an emergency and needed it? If he had saved that money on his own it would have been available to him right away. What if he sends money to someone for a hunt and that person quits the hunting business and he has lost his money. What if when it is time to do the hunt the person doesn't have anything to hunt? What if there are better deals out there when the season get here and now he doen't have a choice on where to hunt. There are a lot of reasons it would make a lot of sense to save the money his self as opposed to slowly giving it to one person. And if you don't understand the reasons I gave then so be it. And it is a lot different giving as you say 4-5 thousand dollars to Wal-Mart than to someone you don't really know for a lay away.

we will know what we have later this summer on 2 of our ranches in that size range and maybe can do a bigger deer for the $6500 range but our ranch in the hill country is $6500 all inclusive for a 160" class buck with a 10,000 sq ft lodge, pool, hot tub etc and you can bring a guest at no additional charge. We may do our hunts down south texas again this year and if so in basically the same price range will get you any deer between 160-230" hunters choice. We will know if were doing hunts down there mid summer due to this ranch may be selling. Let me know if we can help. We have lots of refrences and have been in buisness for wuite awhile. Were not going anywhere and would love to earn your buisness. Check us out on facebook or our website at Texas Elite Outfitters. Thanks and good luck wherever you choose to hunt this fall.

I'd do some extensive research on who you decide to go with. I think it is a good concept if the outfitter is reputable but I've even seen quite a few cases on where THFs get screwed by outfitters here in THF and occasionally vice versa.

Yes do your research and ask other members on here if they have ever hunted with an outfitter and what was their experience. Your spending a lot of money, just don't buy from the one with the fanciest website, talk to as many people as you can before you make your finial choice.
