I started messing with my receiver and the battle worn look, its looking ok after a few different steps but I cant get pics to load on here for some reason.

Use the fifth icon over with the blue arrow pointing up. Browse to image and click it. Then click attach file. Once it's attached click save all. Then post it.

Thanks man. For some reason my phone isnt formatting the pics correctly, I cant even load them into photo bucket.

I would not pay anyone to do that for me. I've seen some I liked though. SapperTitan posted a pic of his M&P top slide that he had done. It looked really good. It looks like this:

Based on the pic, I think you went too heavy on the silver. But its a great start, and cool technique.

Are you using a dry-brush technique? Or spray and wash off?

Im throwing the kitchen sink at it and seeing what looks good. Mostly spray and wash plus sanding.

I think im going to get my other one media blasted or order some raw aluminum parts.

I agree, its already way different than in that pic, when I get my other parts and the job completed ill post pics.

If I got offended I wouldnt be posting on the internet...That being said im pretty sure I could nail that look, Ive been painting lures off and on for years.

IIRC they did a burnt bronze undercoat and then the black on top of that. up

I just had my AR done in black and burnt bronze worn. Yours looks good especially for a DIY.
