When I tended bar for Hilton 6 years ago Glenmorangie 18 was $26 for a single and $39 for a double.

You are doing it all wrong.

If I am gonna be spending that type of money on drinks, might as well go to your local Gentleman's CLub and VIP upstairs and have the finest........

It's scotch. I rather get three fingers of Pappy Van Winkle.

coffee spelled backwards is eeffoc. I don't give eeffoc until I have my morning coffee.

But it is single malt

I prefer Glenfiddich or Glenlivet

The rule at most bars is 20% cost on liquor.
Hotels want about 15% cost.
A fifth of Scotch has 17, 1.5oz pours in it.
Figure for a $100 bottle of Scotch.

100/.15= $666.67
$666.67/17= $39.20

You have to be a little more specific, a local resturant has four different Glenmorangie bottlings. What most people think of first is the Glenmorangie 18 at $24 a shot so $36 for 1 1/2 oz pours. The most expensive on the list is Macallen 25 at $70 an oz. although they always have a few bottles of rarer Scotch.

for every stereotype there's a prototype don't be the prototype

1.5oz is a standard pour, don't know why they would have a price for a 1oz pour.

Resident moved out of my property when I was a maintenance guy and left a new bottle of 13 yr(I think) Glenlevits. I tried to sip it. Then I went and bought some Coke and mixed it.

Nowadays, Id put a few ice cubes and wait a few minutes for them to start to melt. Then start on it.

Well, at least it didn't cost me anything roflmao

Whats rough nowadays, is remembering when 25 year old Macallan was $90 a bottle, today it's $1200. A year ago it was about $950.
