It's a 1911 full size. Model is extreme. Pretty straight forward. If you don't know the model, probably not the person I'm wanting to talk to.

Best answer ever!

The secret to a long life is to try not to shorten it.

I personally don't usually care for any Sig pistols, just because of feel, and I like a steel frame in a 1911. However, that one looks pretty sweet! Go get about a 2.5# trigger job done and I reckon you'll have a great shooter.

The sig mags that came with those had a bad reputation for spitting out rounds when taking them from the holster to put in the gun. I don't know if Sig has fixed that problem or not. You could always buy a Wilson mag if that is the case. Never heard anything but good things about the gun itself. Some of those Sig rail guns have a unique shape, so when your order a holster make sure it is specific to that model sig.

I had a 1911 Scorpion that was pretty much the same except color. I wish I would have never gotten rid of it. 1000k + flawless rounds and never a problem with magazines, any type of ammo, or any parts. It was accurate to 50 yards without question. I thought I didn't need it when I moved up to a FN 45; wish I would have kept it.

The above advice about holsters is true. The slide on the Sig 1911 is more flat than a traditional Colt clone.

Sigs are probability the best low to mid cost 1911 available, along with S&W, Colt, Springfield, STI Trojan, etc... Meh troll
