What are these tracks from? I found these near the deer feeder back in late January. Located in Goliad, TX.

Well that's lame....I was hoping for something much more exciting.
I was thinking it seemed too big for a dog as my over-weight lab doesn't have near that big of a paw. Oh well, I'm still going to tell my friends it was a huge chupicabra or something.....

Being the worlds leading expert on tracks. And only to make you happy, I will say it is without a doubt it is a large mountain lion..Now you can tell your friends that an "expert" stated lion.....oh and throw in that there have been recent sightings of them in your area in the last couple of years...whatever area you are in! lol.

Chupacabra do have claws extended at all times like that. Only way to be sure is to measure the distance between tracks. Should be closer together than a big dog.....

rule of thumb is dogs walk with claws/nails extended, they cant retract them.
Cats walk with claws retracted, so all you will see are pads

I see a horseshoe print directly behind the canine track and a small deer heading the opposite direction of the dog and horse. ...or maybe I am making that up.

4.5-5" long with four toes and claws showing, that's a juvenile manbearpig, fairly common in your area.

I've seen those before once when I was in a Labyrinth, it's a Minotaur track.
