I just got on a lease in west tx and the place has no water on it at all. I think it would really help the deer hunting next year if we had water on it. What is the best way of doing this without having water on the property?

Build a water guzzler. You'll be amazed at how much water you can catch. Basically a roof with a little pitch. That makes the water run into a gutter. Then empties into a tank. We do this on our cabin.

there have been some pretty elaborate water catch systems posted on here before, might take some searching to find. As others have stated, build some type of a run off shelter, to a container/tank. If you can find one of the 275/325 gallon totes as your reservoir, then plumb to a trough ... I would recommend some type of small shallow trough, maybe even buried if possible to prevent excessive evaporation. Coons can destroy anything, so might suggest using metal pipe instead of PVC (unless you can bury it to limit access).
