At least 40 deer poached and no jail time? This happened in Tennesee. http://www.tennessean.com/story/sports/2...&autologin="Two La Vergne hunters have been banned from hunting in Tennessee and 43 other states after they illegally killed as many as 40 deer, and then took photos and videos mocking the animals."

Similar thing happened in Western Kansas with two teenagers who killed over 40 large mule deer and whitetails at night over a period of time. One was the son of an elected official. They got a hand slap and a "bad boy". That was it.

Strictest punishment for a hunting violation in Tennessee history and it wasn't strong enough, in my opinion.
I just turned it on . I was looking bird dogs in the butt this morning.

When you can kill four people and avoid jail time, doing the same after killing deer should be easy.

One key thing to remember....those imposing those ridiculous sentences (or lack thereof) are all elected officials.....so....soon as we start voting some of these bastages out of office.. maybe...just maybe we can turn this thing around and have a system that at least makes sense.

My brother found a dead (ran over) rattler on the side of the road when he was 13. Turned out to be an endangered or protected (can't remember exactly) species and he got in more trouble for bringing it home than these two did for illegally killing 40 deer. Wow. Yes I know endangered species is different but still...wow.
