Has anybody hunted near megargel tx before? I got on a small lease this year and was wondering if there were a lot of deer and hogs? I believe it might be young county.

I've hunted that area for the past 16 years. Used to be really good now lots of pressure and competition. If your around larger properties hunting can be good.
Typically fair amount of hogs and deer. Mature bucks in the 120-130 range probable, larger are possibility.
I you have wheat fields, they typically hit them at night in this area.

Large places south around the Brazos can be real good.

Had a lease about 3 miles East of Megargel a couple of years ago. Few does, no bucks, a few hogs. I moved.
