I remember your post and the mount looks great! Few people have a cat on their wall, and yours is something to be proud of. up

I missed the story about calling it in. That's just so cool. Where you trying to call in a mountain lion or just coyotes and bobcats. I've had success with them, but never even dreamed about a mountain lion coming in to a call. What call where you using?

Congratulations, that'a fantastic mount!!!!

Trying to call a bobcat actually. We are in lion country, so we always thought there was a possibility we could call a lion, but figured it was a longshot. Started with 10 minutes of baby cottontail, she came in about 5 minutes into jackrabbit distress.

If ducks had horns I'd probably be a duck hunter.
I am a horrible deer hunter. Probably the worst. Ever.

Trophy of a lifetime! Congrats

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

Wonder how close you where to the mountain lion before calling her, or how often we all walk right past one without knowing it's there. I've always figured the law of averages are that at one point or another, it has to happen to all of us.

A buddy of mine was walking down a trail out deer hunting and as he came around a bend, a mountain lion was right in front of him, less then ten feet away. My buddy just froze, and the lion jumped off to the side and disappeared. He said it happened real quick, faster then he could even think of what to do. His rifle never left his shoulder.

I've had the chance to kill one before but haven't because i thought they were too pretty and kinda numbered. But after seeing your mount I wish I had dropped the hammer.

I remember that. Beautiful mount. Didn't you have a video of the hunt? If you did could you repost it? Congratulations again, that really is awesome.

Nevermind, was confused with someone years ago that shot a mountain lion calling after dark. Their buddy posted a video. I did find your original thread though ... very cool !
