what parts would you buy? These must be parts that are somewhat available right now.

Caliber is 6.5 Creedmoor,
Action: Brand, bolt face, action length, etc
Barrel: rifle MUST to come in at 8lbs without optic, #3 contour??
Trigger:?
Stock: glass or carbon fiber, no chassis
Bottom Metal: ?
Brake:?
Builder:?

Ok. It's my next build. Remember as you list your choices, This rifle will probably be for sale in a year or two, so choose wisely you may get it for a deal.....

No Budget set, within reason $4 - 5K

No Tikka parts whatsoever

The reason I'm asking is I'm not an expert, while looking at actions, I like Surgeon, Deviant, Stiller, Borden, Bighorn. Not sure what bolt face, for Creedmoor, .308??

Stock may be sent to Dallas Airbrush confused2

Buzzsaw, I'm going through this right now. After talking to a few from this forum, and talking to Chad for over an hour today, I have decided to go with the 6.5Creedmor. There were other caliber that peaked my interest, but availability of brass and cost of reloading with zero factory ammo available, I decided on the 6.5Creedmor.

Here is my run down:
Chase Curis Action, short action
Manner MCS-EH1 stock, carbon fiber
Bartlein 24 inch Sendero/heavy varmint
Seeking bottom metal, AI mag
Timney Teigger, 2lbs
Builder hasn't been decided, brake hasn't been decided.

Weight should come in around 8-8.5 and around 10 with optics

Chase Curtis action
Chase Curtis bottom metal

Bartlein, Kreiger, Brux in .338 or .375 30" long and little to no taper

Manners, McMillan, or Rock Solid chassis

Break will be a custom (I know a guy)

Timney trigger

Now to decide how much powder I'm gonna put under it...

All I have to do is send my rifle to derrick at some point and have a benchmark barrel put on it, and get my timney.

No idea really. It's the one derrick uses as his in house barrel I believe.

I did see a little special during a hunting show where they showed how they are made, all hand fitted, hand rifled, every single barrel is repeatedly checked before it leaves the factory. I'm sure lots of places do you this, but I was impressed.

I kinda thought Chad's idea was kinda interesting.
300 win mag cartridge with a 7mm bullet caliber.
I wonder how fast you would shoot the barrel out?

Defiance Deviant Tactical Action
Manners T2

Heck yeah!! I'm down. That would be so fun playing more than three times as far as most shooters can.

Its bedded. I am going to the range as soon as I pick it up. I have several different bullets for it but going to try for the eldx and see how they shoot. Assuming load development goes well I plan to shoot out to at least 500 and tweak loads. Will do a range report tomorrow
