I've got an old door in our home that has a mortise lock that has a couple of parts in it that have broken. Have looked all over the internet to find one that matches the dimensions of mine with no luck. Anyone ever changed one out for a cylinder lock? I've seen some examples online but I'm not very confident that what I'm seeing will work. This is for an interior door so it doesn't have to be as secure as it would if it were an exterior door.

I had to look to see what a mortise lock was ... but quickly found a number of replacing topics including video
