Chad loaded some 6.5CM in 129gr Hornady SST's for me and they are excellent. I'm wanting to try the 129gr Nosler ABLR next. Order some from him, been highly impressed with on game performance

I have the 6.5 CM with EDL's available also. Plus, CC loads his 6.5 CM on a progressive press, where the powder charge will not be as consistent. I'll load mine single stage weighing the powder charge out to .02 grains. His is more, mine is less, and mine is loaded much more precise!! There are differences in the details!!! http://dallasreloads.com/product-category/6-5-creedmoor/ How much cheaper if I bring you once fired brass?

It may not be for everyone. it may only offer a 1/8 moa difference. To the average shooter they will never see the benefit. To me the point is Hornady is taking an interest in the long range shooting community and that makes me happy. For to long berger has been the only bullet to shoot. I like competition. I like the 1/4 moa groups I am getting from the 143.2 gr exdx at 300 yrds. I only want to become a better shooter. I load and shoot and load more all with the intent to be better than I was. My love is all the custom rifles in my safe. my challenge is a day like today. In the wind when most are not out there shooting can I put together a grouping that is offensive to the average shooter. That's my goal. (today we put targets out at various targets from 200-1200 yards and challenge each other to be better. I have never enjoyed shooting more.)

Because it will not stay 12 or 6. It will constantly vary 11 to 1, or 5 to 7. That means you have to continually check mirage, adjust the hold properly. Hold left, hold left more, hold right, it can be that way all day long. Some call it "fishtailing". It happened that way last week when I had a customer out. We had left holds and right holds back and forth all day long.
Give me a steady cross wind all day long. And I can adjust, as needed, for wind speed. I agree 100%. If the wind varies 2-4 o clock, and speed goes up and down, you just vary your hold a few tenths. But when it fishtails you are going right, left, right, left. My 100 yard range at work has some big metal buildings along one side of it, and can really give a wind education. The wind comes over the top of it and rolls, I can have 3 different wind speeds and directions in 100 yards. When I say different, I mean 3 oclock at 15 mph for the last 30 yards, and 9 oclock at 5-10 mph for the first 60, with strange shear in the transition zones. And when the wind gusts and lulls all of them swap around at the same time. Shooting groups on days like that you have to nearly be a magician to not string 1/2-3/4 moa just because of wind, on top of the accuracy potential of whatever rifle you are shooting.

Depending on the bullet, it's about $125-$130 per 100 rounds.

Anybody out there happened to check runout with either the 140 ELD Match or 143 ELD X ???
I loaded some 143's first for Creedmoor that Horizon has built and I furnished them to Derrick for testing and to sight-in the rifle. I noticed the runout was pretty bad in the 20 rounds I loaded with new FL sized Hornady brass. They ran .004 to .008 which at .004 I can live with for hunting rounds but I was concerned. Also loaded some 140gr ELD match and runout was only slightly better and that was with once fired Nosler brass. Now I am wondering if it might be the bullets. Today I tried 15 more once fired with a different seating die and after the first 12 looked not so great again with only two going .003 and the rest .004-.005 I drug out 3 140gr Barnes Matchburners I happened to have and they spun almost perfect all under .001 Hmmmm wondering in Hornady's attempt to get these out to market they maybe had no QC?
Almost forgot earlier this week loaded 40 rounds of 300 Win Mag with 200gr ELD X's and yep runout sucked with many going as high as .008 and most around.004

Looks like an e-mail or phone call to Hornady is warranted.

Looks like an e-mail or phone call to Hornady is warranted. Found a possible answer. I changed seating stem and runout dropped by half on the few I loaded. These are Hornady dies and the Creedmoor came with two seating stems. Not sure which is which but the seater with the larger cavity was giving bad runout. The smaller cavity one seems to be better so I am thinking that is the issue. May have to get a Forster.

Vld seater vs traditional. I looked at a box of them and compared to the hybrid the ogive is very far forward much like a sierra. They are very long but looked really nice.

So I loaded my standard load for 6.5 Creed amax and used the eldx, results were not near as good as with 140 amax. I haven't done any other testing, just wanted to see what it did.
What OAL are you guys loading for eldx as compared to your amax loads (how much longer)?

Im shooting them out of my 300 and my 6.5 CM, shoot better than bergers. If you chrono them and use a range app their almost spot on, very little validation needed if any. can't wait to test them on deer.
