I'm heading to Fossil Point sporting clays in Decatur Saturday morning around 9:30am to shoot a round. My buddy that was joining me had to back out. Anybody want his seat in my golf cart? Hopefully someone who's done this before because I'm new to the sport and need some pointers.

FYI.. had a blast shooting clay's with Sonny (txshotgun) on Sunday morning. Really nice guy if you ever get a chance to meet him. The course was still setup at a tournament configuration, which was a little tough on us rookies. Definitely going to do more of it in the not-too-distant future. Got humbled a bit on what should have been easy shots, so some work to be done on my part. BTW.. what twisted sob decided it was a good idea to throw a clay so it rolls and "hops" along the ground? That station kicked my butt.. and I grew up shooting bunnies with a shotgun.

Glad you had a good time. Which course did you shoot? Was it Green?
Sporting is a learned game, you need different techniques for different presentations. Rabbits are not that bad, most people miss in front, but think they are behind it.

They had just had a NSCA match the day before so we got a taste of what shooting those events must be like. And Yes I'm pretty sure I was overleading the rabbits.

They have a few carts, best to call and reserve one. Walking is not bad though.
