I like to shoot from bipod and rear bag. I was sick of so much squeezing. So i built this "angle" on to the Picitanny rail cover. wood, bond, paint, ect.. attached are a few pictures. turned out pretty good i think.

I saw the first two pics and wondered what in the world you had done to your stock. The next photo looks amazing. That's some top notch work, and I like the idea of a ramp back there to make height adjustments on the rear bag. Outstanding.

Did a beaver chew that lumber off?

That came out really nice.

It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.

I have the same issue with my PRS. I dislike monopods with a passion so I bought a Wiebad mini cube and problem was solved.

That's a great idea and I'm going to build something very similar to go on my PRS. What are the rough dimensions on the wood portion?

bass cat- i would need your rail cover. I still have bondo and supplies remaining. but PLEASE know that i am not a professional! this was strictly an attempt to build an aid.

Texan til i Die- I dont have any rough dimensions. i literally traced out with a pencil on a piece of 1x6 pine. the Bondo will help you shape to what you want.

as much as i enjoy a good beaver, this was the work of a dremel. it was out and handy. it is really just something to use to build up so you dont have to use as much bondo. but by all means, use a pretty cut, sand it, then cover in bondo. lol... the edges do look pretty bad though, i agree.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Hah....me too, only my first thought was a pocket knife, then I saw the dremel tool off to the right.

Finished product looks pretty good though.

The picatinny cover on mine slides forward about half its length whenever I use a rear bag...from the recoil (.458 SOCOM). Every shot has me sliding it back into place.

You can add a small bracket in the rear for that
