if you were to scout a new area, that has not been hunted, no live stock for 20yrs, heavily wooded & brush, what would carry with you, at least 500 acres. of course a handgun or rifle..

A handgun, a 30-30, a roll of toilet paper, a lighter, a knife and a topo map. Maybe some colored tape as well depending on how thick it is and whether or not your prone to getting lost.
