My female pointer keeps the tip of her tail bloody every time she hunts. Also keeps her sides covered
in blood from whipping her tail against her sides. Any suggestions?

unfortunately they are out of stock right now... but I've seen these used.

Realistically, it's just part of the drill for a long tailed dog in heavier brush. It's common in S. TX to see it on about every dog on the truck.

My buddys dog injured his and then kept chewing it and it wouldn't ever heal up. We tried duct tape but he still kept chewing it. He ended up docking it and had no problems after that.

Try a shotgun hull.

I wouldn't think of buying a Beagle that didn't have a bloody tail after a hunt. That shows that she's putting in work. A clear sign of drive to me.

Dock the tail and call it a shorthair. Probably improve both breeds.

Had dog on trip and needed to prevent blood being whipped on surroundings so I used styptic/alum powder. Could only find the sticks but used emory board to "sand" it into a powder and then rubbed it into the would. Every time the dog even thought about moving that tail I would get after him. I thought about heating a frying pan and searing it but that seemed too drastic.
