I read on several forums where folks seemingly can look at a quickload listing of a powder/bullet combination and tell where the 'nodes' are. My question is, how do they figure that out?

How does Quickload figure it out? Or the person using Quickload?

My answer to either would be that I have no idea. I would like to know, though.

It's called optimum barrel time. It gets you close, but you still have to shoot loads around the calculations to find your rifles' sweet spot. It's based on the caliber you are shooting with a certain bullet, with the powder you are using for that bullet, and calculating this to your barrel length.

Thanks, Chad. Is there some sort of mathematical formula to the whole thing or what? I'd like to be able to figure it out myself somehow.
