Can anybody tell me about the T/C Venture?

I adjusted the trigger on one yesterday, and I was impressed with the fat bolt type action, it was positive and smooth. The one I worked on was a well-worn Venture in 22-250.

The trigger was reasonably easy to take apart and work on. In about half an hour I had it down to two pounds and re-assembled.

(Clipped one coil off of the spring)

Seems a lot nicer than the low-end Savages and Rugers that I have looked at. Better metal finish, and a better quality synthetic stock.

Have shot a few, wish I had never sold the ICON. Good shooting rifles and smooth. They are coming out with another one this year the Compass which is even less expensive than the Venture. Good triggers, pretty smooth action, Sub MOA guarantee, 5R rifling hard to go wrong with that combination

Mainstream news might be fun to watch
