I'm not a Glock guy, probably the only one but I may check these out. Adams Arms is coming out with some trick slides made from solid bar stock, set up for the RMR sights. Google them and see if I should convert to Glock? confused2

Lone wolf has had replacement slides for a long time, and ZEV has done slide milling. It's a glock. Yawn.

I hear folks say this, and whenever I see one jam everyone always blames the ammo or the shooter or they just flat out wont accept that someone saw a glock malfunction. My Colts have never failed to fire or jam either, but apparently my experience doesn't count because I don't shoot in competitions or I haven't taken a tactical ninja course.

My Sig on FTF once, but that was around 16,000 rounds. I'm ok with that failure percentage

Yup. Then we couldn't have a weekly debate over what gun to buy!

My hipoint has never jammed. I put a whole box of shells through it once without cleaning it, and it still didn't jam. Idk why you guys spend so much on guns.

A whole box of ammo and it probably hit the target once. wink

It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.

I've had an old Colt 1911 for over 20 years and even though it's not sexy looking with some fancy handles I pity anyone that I ever have to point it at! Stay Safe my friends

I'm with Elkhunter49, my 1911's have never failed me, not even with 200gr SWC handloads during load development. I have Colt, Springfield, Kimber, Desert Eagle(which I feel is greatly underrated) Remington and Ruger. I just can not think of any way to improve a handgun over a truly time tested design. I need a big ol' sticker for my front door..I LOVE MY 1911's..

Maybe thats why soooo many police departments and other LEO's carry 1911's.

Funny how the "brand wars" go.

There are a whole lot of weapons out there that I would totally bet on, to perform when I need it to the most. But, how I handle/use the gun is subject to more error than good handguns nowadays.

No way I would carry a 1911 on duty. Not enough rounds in the magazine for me. Yeah yeah, I know what everybody is going to say about hitting your target, that's all fine and dandy while shooting paper
