They split up in our area at the beginning of February. I was scouting an area yesterday and spooked a hen off of a nest. Its starts earlier and earlier every year. Season should start at the beginning of March.

I'm not a turkey hunter so I don't really know their breeding habits. I did see a flock of 28 in my pasture this morning. Lee county.

In Goliad County yesterday morning I saw 9 big gobblers together. This morning about 3 miles south of those, I saw 2 big gobblers strutting in the middle of about 10 hens beside the road.
