One of the best, most experienced PH's in the business was recently killed by an elephant while guiding a hunter in Africa. Only two things more dangerous to hunt. A hippo or a wounded Leopard.

You guys with your photoshop nonsense make me laugh. An elephant can push over a 100 year old tree that you would rap your car around if you hit it going 70 MPH. They have unbelievable strength. They are at the TOP of the food chain when it comes to animals.

Amazing photos and videos!

I was in the passenger seat with the PH mentioned above, driving, when we were chased by an angry cow elephant. He'd gun it for a ways, then stop, laughing. I'd look in the side mirror and see her still coming and I'd yell "She's still coming!". He'd laugh and gun it again. This happened about four times before she broke off and gave up. The trackers on the back were not amused.
I've been with this same crew, crouching under bushes, everyone warning the client (me) to be perfectly still while a cow elephant walked by within about 10 yards. Talk about an adrenaline rush.
