If the price is fair and the shipping and hazmat are not outrageous I might. I'm headed to the range right now but post or pm prices, prefer 8lb unless 1lb are cheaper to do total cost. Too bad your not closer to College Station, have family there.

Here is a helpful search engine for components:

http://www.gunbot.net/reloading/powder/

Looks like it is in stock at Cabela's.

Just have it shipped.

I've got about 3/4 pound of Varget and I don't plan to use it for any rifle I have. I tried it, but have better options. I'm 40 miles east of Waco, near Groesbeck, and if anyone wants to make the drive, I'll give you the powder. It's just taking up space. PM me for directions or phone number.

Do you ever come towards corsicana or ennis? I'd take it off your hands. I'll come to your place if I ever get down that way.

Cabelas in Ft.Worth had 2 lbs ($30) when I went there today, and Alpine shooting range had plenty in stock if you want to pay their outrageous prices ($35).
I've found other powders to use instead of Varget the last couple years. I refuse to pay the crazy prices for some powders.

I'm starting to think the same, IMR4064 and IMR8208XBR seem affordable and available. I have plenty of them and can pickup more easily with out the shipping and hazmat.

Cow Doc, there might be a chance I'll go to Ennis to watch some high school tennis soon, but it's a low chance. Just for info, we are 48 miles from Corsicana, south on I45 and Hwy 14. I could shorten your drive and meet you in Mexia at Whataburger for lunch. Just pick a day.

Like BassCat, I'm a fan of 4064. I get better accuracy with 4064, in several calibers (except 223).

The last gun show I went to was at Reliant park about a month or two ago. There were at last 2 guys selling 8lbs jugs of Varget for around $230. I went looking for he exact same things just to price and availability shop.
