Thanks for all of the inquiries! I think I have answered all PMs and emails to date...
To answer some of the most asked questions.... Limcroma Safaris is owned and operated by Hannes Els, who is a 3rd generation PH and outfitter. Hannes and his PHs are among the most experienced PHs in Africa all avid bow and rifle hunters themselves. We now have nearly 360K acres of hunting concessions that we either own or manage exclusively for our guests. Most of our game animals are naturally propagated. We have a strict game management plan ensuring the highest quality and quantity trophies are taken. We are not a put and take operation. This post is submitted on behalf of Limcroma, not a booking agent or 3rd party. When you contact us, you are dealing directly with the outfitter. Thanks again for your interest! Let's hunt Africa!

Hi passthru, and thanks for your inquiry...
Unless we have something genuinely special to offer, we do not generally offer gimmicky packages that try to include animals that we want you to hunt. We prefer to offer each client a custom proposal based on their exact desires in terms of trophies, length of stay, and time of year that they wish hunt with us.
These custom proposals are then offered as one-priced packages all-inclusive of daily rates, trophy fees, services of your PH, trackers, skinners, camp staff, 4x4 hunting vehicle, all accommodations, meals, snacks, beverages inclusive of alcohol, daily laundry service, field prep and salting of your trophies, transportation of trophy parts to the dip & packer, roundtrip airport transfers, and all taxes including VAT, licenses, permits and all fees. All safari costs that are included and not included are fully disclosed upfront. Our guests are never subject to any unforeseen or surprise costs.
Please PM or email me for a custom proposal. Thanks for your interest in Limcroma.

We still have a handful of open dates in April, May and September, October 2016. And, it's not too early to secure dates for the 2017 season. Shoot me an email or PM and we will put together a great package specifically tailored to your desires.... firehuntfish@att.net Imagine yourself sitting around the camp fire after a fantastic days hunt with a "sundowner" in hand, jackals and baboons howling in the background.

Thanks again for all the inquiries... To answer another frequently asked question, The kudu species that we offer in the Limpopo province is the greater kudu, not to be mistaken for the lesser kudu which is the smaller and obviously, less expensive cousin of the greater kudu common to the East Cape province. We have excellent native habitat and the best genetics which allows us to grow the biggest trophy greater kudu in Southern Africa. Here are a few examples of some of the monsters that we have taken in recent seasons. Greater kudu are in both the east cape and the Limpopo province. The eastern cape has, "Eastern Cape Greater Kudu" and the Limpopo has "southern greater kudu". Lesser kudu are not in South Africa but in Tanzania and cost far more than either species of Greater kudu.

traviselmore, Thanks for the reply.... You are correct that I inadvertently referred to the sub-species of kudu hunted in Africa's East Cape as the lesser kudu... All information provided is on current research regarded as the bible of the Southern sub region's mammals, (J D Skinner and R H N Smitthers). According to their DNA research, it was discovered that there are 2 kudu species and 3 sub-species found in Africa which are listed below: "There are two species: The greater kudu Tragelaphus strepsiceros The lesser kudu Tragelaphus imberbis, and three sub-species: The southern greater kudu Tragelaphus strepsiceros strepsiceros The East African greater kudu Tragelaphus strepsiceros bea The northern greater kudu Tragelaphus strepsiceros cottoni Oddly enough, the SCI recognizes 6 sub-species in their record books: Abyssinian Greater Kudu East African Greater Kudu East Cape Greater Kudu Lesser Kudu Southern Kudu Western Greater Kudu It is commonly believed that the SCI categorizes based on color, size, patterning, and location rather than actual genetic differences. They likely do this because lots of book hunters are looking to collect all of the sub-species. My intent was not to misrepresent, but to make you aware that the kudu hunted in the East Cape is not the same animal that is hunted in the Limpopo. Although it is referred to as the East Cape greater kudu, research indicates that it is more genetically similar to the lesser kudu. The kudu species found in the East Cape is often referred to as the lesser, even though it is technically not as you mention. While the East Cape is often thought to be more colorful, it is definitely a smaller animal in both horn length and body size. There are arguable points between the differences among the various species, but, no one will dispute that the Southern Greater Kudu found in the Limpopo is the largest kudu with the biggest horns. Prospective safari clients often ask why there is such a significant price difference between the outfitters offering kudu, without knowing the differences between the species, and the locations in which they are found. It is important information for those doing research looking for the biggest kudu vs. one of the sub-species. Bottom line, if you want an opportunity to hunt the largest kudu (horn + body size) in Africa, your best chances are in the Limpopo Province. Thanks for bringing this up for clarification.

Here's a pic of another amazing trophy taken with Limcroma in the 2015 season. This is a true "once in a lifetime" trophy southern greater kudu taken by a fine young man! The taxidermist is going to have to get creative to find a way to mount this one...!

Wow! Thanks for all of the interest... We still have a small window to book for May(kudu rut), and a few more open dates in September, October and November 2016. For those able to hunt late season, there is still some fantastic bow & rifle hunting to be had. Also, airfares are at their lowest point of the year.
If this year is not an option, it's definitely not too early to secure dates for 2017. Send me an email, and we will put together a custom packaged proposal exclusively for you. firehuntfish@att.net or call Dan 954-328-6314 Thanks!
