I'm buying a Maverick blind and was wondering what type/brand of paint you used to paint yours. How well has the paint held up?

Thanks for your help.

Gunna want something that attaches well to plastic. Maybe krylon fusion? It won't hurt to rough it up with 120 grit either.

Never seen one in person, but they look like they are made of a pretty slick plastic.

Are you trying to hide it from people? Deer and pigs don't care if it is camouflage or pink.

Well, I guess I was thinking it would prolong the life of the plastic.

Rough up the surface and paint it with Rustoleum truck bed liner.

You planning to carry it into the field every time you use it?

A gallon can of bed liner weighs 11 pounds, can and all. When it drys it will add 7 to 8 pounds but years of protection.

I used Rustoleum Bed Liner on my tractor rebuild a few years ago. It flaked off after a little while. It was on clean sand blasted steel.

I've seen it on golf cart bodies and it holds up pretty well. And yes, seven pounds is a lot if you are moving the blind to accommodate wind direction, getting on or off a lease, have a lease that is season only or any other reason when you add that seven to the other hundred plus pounds of the blind. Especially putting it up and down from a platform and by your self. Or maybe you have a back issue, reconstructed shoulders or knees. Don't think seven pounds is a lot? Add seven extra pounds to your pack on a mountain elk hunt and see how it feels.

You are not adding in the weight of a floor if they are adding that.

Believe me when two men are trying to get it up on a six foot tall platform under an oak tree a few pounds extra stink. And I would hate to have to sand the whole thing to make the surface good for it to adhere to properly.
